Marshmallow cheerio treats12/31/2023 ![]() If you’re looking for other cereal bars, here is a recipe for my absolute favorite chocolate peanut butter Special K bars. Although this recipe isn’t anything unique or special, I was excited to learn that I can use basically any cereal to make cereal bar treats. ![]() Overall, these turned out well and my kids loved them. My kids absolutely love cinnamon toast crunch, so I think I’ll try making those cereal bars next. That’s it! These Cheerio treats are really the easiest dessert option there is. Then, you dump in 7 cups of cereal and mix until well combined. You may want to check it and mix every 30 seconds until the butter and marshmallows are completely melted and incorporated. Then, you add the bag of marshmallows and microwave until they are melted. I’m a fan of the microwave for quickness. You can make them in the microwave or you can make them on the stovetop. In bowl, mix Cheerios and chocolate chips together. To make these cereal bars, you only need 3 ingredients – butter, a bag of marshmallows, and a box of cereal. Grease well a 9 x 11 pan with safe margarine or cooking spray. I wasn’t sure that cheerio treats would turn out as well, but I figured it was worth the risk. But for some reason, I never considered using other cereal to make cereal bar treats. I know this might seem like a simple and obvious recipe. Thus, I needed to find a way to get them eaten, so I decided to make marshmallow cheerio treats. I’ve kept the pantry too full, so they opt for one of their other favorites instead of the Cheerios. Although my kids do love Cheerios, it usually isn’t their first choice. Bring to room temperature before serving, if preferred.For the last 6 months, I’ve had a giant box of honey nut Cheerios in my pantry. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Cut into squares and enjoy! Storing Leftovers Transfer the mixture to a foiled lined 9×13 baking dish that’s been coated with cooking spray. ![]() Remove from the heat and stir in the cereal until everything is coated. Cheerios Marshmallow Treats Nothing beats pancakes and scrambled eggs, or a nice slice of banana bread in the morning, but those are usually reserved for the weekends in our house. They’re the best portable dessert or indulgent afternoon snack! These Cheerio Bars include gooey marshmallow, cookie butter, and white chocolate.
